Sustainability in the Aerospace Sector, a Transition to Clean Energy: The E2-EVM Valuation Model

Civil aviation is one of biggest industrial contributors to CO2 emissions worldwide. One the most urgent problems this sector providing new technologies continue operating in a more sustainable environment through transition clean energy. The Earned Value Management (EVM) model, as traditional project management tool, continuously being revised with releases and extensions (e.g., ESM, EDM, QEVM, E-EVM, ZEVM), but date none them has applied an expert judgment criterion be able modify anticipate final result project. In such way, paper introduces novel approach topic so-called Enhanced Efficient (denoted E2-EVM) model by including capability real options methodology, thus helping support sustainability aerospace sector. This research focuses on three main goals: description recent green initiatives checking its contribution reaching well-known Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), development version EVM applying and, finally, financial industry these methodologies.
